AVID Tutor Job Description: AVID tutors work with small groups of students as part of the AVID Elective Class. It is a great opportunity to gain experience in education, make a difference in the lives of students and make a little extra cash.

This is part-time, limited term work beginning in October and running through May 2020 with hours available during the regular school day (7:30 a.m. - 3 p.m.) Monday-Thursday at multiple schools. The majority of the hours available are openings are in the mornings. The wage is $11 an hour.

Most tutors work between 4-10 hours per week. Interviews will be conducted on an on-going basis.

Please make sure the tutor coordinator has your most up-to-date contact information. Email pmzastrow@gbaps.org if your information has changed or if you have questions.

Remember to regularly check your email throughout the semester. 

If you are going to be absent for a shift please notify the teachers directly, and cc the tutor coordinator. All teacher contact info is included in the Tutorial Support Resource Guide that was emailed at the beginning of the semester.

Tutors should arrive at the classroom five minutes prior to the scheduled start time so they can greet students, collect trf's and be prepared for the session as soon as the class is ready to begin.
