Virtual Board Meetings
As we work through the issues confronting everyone around COVID-19, we want to share with you that the Board of Education is moving ahead with its board meetings through electronic means rather than in person in compliance with his Wisconsin Attorney General Advisory regarding virtual meeting and public participation. This action is being taken in compliance with the Governor’s Safer at Home Order and for the well-being of staff, families and our community. Starting March 25, 2020, we are suspending in-person public meetings.

During this emergency public health crisis, the Board of Education will be holding its meetings virtually. The Board will be using Zoom to host its meetings and will be livestreaming them on YouTube.

Watch Livestream of Board Meeting.

We will work toward making these meetings as accessible to you as possible. If you have trouble accessing the livestream, email ServiceDesk@gbaps.org. The meetings will continue to be recorded, closed captioned and available on YouTube following the meeting. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Public Participation

We still want to hear from you. Using the public participation form below, members of the public may indicate if they wish to speak during open forum, provide written comments to be read during open forum, or submit written comments.

Written Comments:
All written comments will be shared publicly on BoardDocs. Members of the public can submit written comments to the Board of Education by filling out the public participation form below. Written comments will be accepted until 3:00 p.m. on the date of the scheduled meeting and published on BoardDocs. You may also choose to email the Board of Education at boardofeducation@gbaps.org. All seven board members will receive these comments.

Oral Comments During Open Forum:
In order to speak during the open forum agenda item at the beginning of the meeting, members of the public must complete the public participation form linked below. On the form, please check the box indicating that you wish to speak, and provide a working telephone number. During the open forum agenda item at the beginning of the board meeting, you will be called at the phone number provided. Once you are connected into the meeting, the Board President will indicate when you should begin speaking. Speakers are asked to state their name and address, and limit their comments to five minutes in length. Speakers may wish to watch the livestreamed meeting on YouTube to have a better understanding as to when they may be called. Please note that the livestream does have a delay. Please mute your computer or any other electronics you may have in the room when calling to eliminate background noise. The same Board Meeting Protocols that apply during in person Board of Education meetings apply for virtual meetings. The District and Board reserves the right to end a Speaker’s oral comment if the Speaker violates any of the Board Meeting Protocols.
