While the facilities staff work all year long on projects to maintain the Green Bay Area Public School District’s (GBAPS) 45 buildings, the summer months are especially busy. GBAPS commits $3.5 million for facility maintenance each year. The projects range from roof replacement to replacing carpeting.

Larger projects that were completed over the summer months include:
-Roof replacements/repair at King Elementary School and McAuliffe Elementary School
-Parking lot asphalt replacement at East High School, Franklin Middle School, Lombardi Middle School, and the Auxiliary Services Building
-LED light replacements at Preble High School
-Renovation of Howe and Wilder Elementary Schools’ commons
-Remodeling of East High School’s Library Media Center
-New windows at Howe Elementary School

Two exciting projects that will be completed in September are the renovated Culinary Arts Lab at East High School and the remodeling of West High School’s library with new carpet and furniture. Watch for future updates and photos of these projects on the District and schools’ social media sites.
