Head Start Teacher

Jessica is a Head Start teacher at the Head Start Learning Center. She recommends Green Bay Area Public Schools (GBAPS) because of the support system for educators. For Jessica, GBAPS was where she started her education journey as a student, and as a teacher appreciates that the district continues to invest in her professional growth.

Michelle
First Grade Teacher

Michelle is a first grade teacher at King Elementary Children’s Center for Engineering. At King Elementary there is a big focus on computer engineering, coding and robotics. Technology has helped Michelle bring her students outside of the classroom by visiting with authors and scientists around the world.

David
Elementary Bilingual Teacher

David is a fifth grade teacher at Wilder Elementary School. He loves the diversity in the Green Bay Area Public School District (GBAPS), which drew him to his current school. David also appreciates that GBAPS is large enough to provide educators resources and professional opportunities, but not so big that it is impersonal.

Tracy is a Family and Consumer Science teacher at Washington Middle School. For Tracy, being a teacher in the Green Bay Area Public School District is a dream come true. She had always wanted to be a teacher, and began her career in the district as a paraprofessional. Green Bay Area Public Schools allowed Tracy to teach on an emergency permit while she continued her education to earn her teacher licensure and fulfill her personal dream and career goal.

English Learner Teacher

Abie is an English Learner teacher at Washington Middle School. She loves the diversity of students in her school. Abie understands the importance of building relationships with students and their families to help students be successful in school. For Abie, the most rewarding part of her career is seeing the yearly progress her students make and understanding the influence she had on that growth.


Marisol
English Learner Teacher

Marisol is an English Learner Teacher at Washington Middle School. She moved to Green Bay from Milwaukee, where her first thought was that Green Bay seemed quite small. However, she has come to love living in Green Bay. For Marisol, the many opportunities within the school district have provided a career path she hadn’t anticipated, but she is so very glad it did.
