Green Bay West High School has been officially recognized by the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) as an authorized IB World School for the Career-related Programme (CP).

This recognition means that West High School is featured on the IBO public website with their status as a CP authorized school and is ready to enroll interested students from across the district in the program.

The program was developed to create a new pathway for students that wished to earn a degree and stay in the Green Bay area.

The program is in partnership with Northeast Wisconsin Technical College (NWTC) and area businesses, and includes course pathways that begin a student’s junior year and culminate in their earning up to half an associates degree at NWTC.

Students who embark on the CP path complete two IB courses, courses in the degree programs, a service learning project, a reflective project, a language development portfolio, and a Personal and Professional Skills course.

Students are currently able to choose between Business Management and Laboratory Tech associate’s programs, and more pathways will be added as the program grows.

Thanks to the program, students are afforded the opportunity to complete a rigorous and focused education that prepares them for life after high school as a competitive, motivated, and valuable graduate with high interpersonal skills, a solid foundation of ethics, and a proven track record of being a resilient student.
