More than 2,100 Green Bay Area Public School District students and their families attended the first annual Welcome Back GBAPS Family Celebration on August 24.
The GBAPS Food Service team served 2,106 meals throughout the day and many families attending didn’t request a meal.
Families from across the District attended and participated in carnival games, an obstacle course, climbing a rock wall, enjoying a splash pad and other outdoor activities.
Several musical acts performed including Preble High School, West High School and East High School bands. Dancers from the Nkauj Zaj Paj - Hmong Dance Team closed the celebration with two performances.
